Newport County Table Football Club

Basically the core members of our club are all friends. We play football, watch football and drink together. Our reason for starting a Subbuteo league was purely for bragging rights, the wrong reason I know, but after a few beers on a Saturday night the topic of Subbuteo came up and we all said how good we were and it went from there.

 Now we have established we are all crap at it we are sticking with it to get better because the enjoyment element of the game is still there.

The five founding members are Carl Morgan (me), Gavin Little, Mark Burman, Richard May and Wayne "I'm the bestest" Bowen.

We are also happy to have Paul Wilkinson on loan for the season from the East Midlands Alliance while he is in Bristol.

Here at Newport County Table Football Club we play and abide to Issue 4.0 of the F.I.S.T.F rules of play.

Our club night is held in the upstairs function room at Crindau Constitutional Club, a very well decorated and furnished club. The room we use could hold around 15 tables and has a nice bar in. It's not leisure centre or village hall size, but if your looking for a nice venue to hold a small competition, this is the place. The beer is cheap (very important) because it is a members club.
